Our Worship
We worship and praise God daily as our Creator, for He alone is worthy. But each Sunday we gather to worship, praise, and glorify God. We meet together in fellowship with one another, and we commune together with God as we partake of the Lord’s Supper each Lord’s Day. By the emblems of the bread and the cup, we are reminded of His death and the price He paid that we might have eternal life. As we do this on the Lord’s Day, we’re reminded of His resurrection and are assured that He lives today.
Our Standard
The Holy Bible is our only source of instruction. It is the Word of God. It never needs updated, and it never goes out of style because it is alive, it is powerful, it is sharper than any 2-edged sword. It discerns even the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12). How can it do that? Isn’t it just a book and words in a book? How can it be alive? Jesus Himself is the Word of God. (John 1:1-14)) He is all-knowing, ever-present, and He never changes (Hebrews 13:8)
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to lift up Jesus; to show His love to the world…at least to our neighbors and our community. God has placed the work of the church in our hands; but we must be careful not to think that our hands are all we need to accomplish His work. We strive to give Jesus a place in His church; in us. When we let God work through us, He can accomplish His purpose. When Jesus is seen in us, we lift Him up and people are drawn to Him. In a very real sense, we work together as head and body. He is the head of the church; we, as the church, are His body. (Ephesians 4:3-6) (Ephesians 1:22-23)
Christ has no hands but our hands to do His work today;
He has no feet but our feet to lead men in the way.
He has no tongue but our tongue to tell men how He died,
He has no help but our help to bring them to His side.
We are the only Bible the careless world will read,
We are the sinner’s gospel; we are the scoffer’s creed;
We are the Lord’s last message, given in deed and word;
What if the type is crooked? What if the print is blurred?
What if our hands are busy with other work than His?
What if our feet are walking where sin’s allurement is?
What if our tongue is speaking of things His lips would spurn?
How can we hope to help Him or welcome His return?

Our Origin
Established thousands of years ago under the old covenant, God set the Day of Pentecost aside as a feast day to be observed 50 days after the Passover (Leviticus 23:15-21). These feasts were set in the Old Testament to point to the New Testament. Years passed until Jesus came and died as our Passover Lamb, and the new covenant became effective. The first Day of Pentecost under the new covenant brought a nearly indescribable excitement as the real reason the feast had been established became apparent, and is written about in (Acts 2). By God’s plan, Pentecost always fell on the first day of the week, the day Jesus was risen from the dead…the day John called the Lord’s Day (Revelation 1:10). The church that Jesus said He would build (Matthew 16:16-19) was established that very day, it was Peter that used the keys Jesus gave him to unlock The Way, just as Jesus had said.
The Day of Pentecost is a reminder of life…life that had come 50 days before when Jesus rose from the dead, and life that can always be found in Christ through that church He established on that day. Where is that church? It is still here today made up of many congregations around the world.
We are a congregation of that church. Through Jesus, we have salvation and the Holy Spirit who guides us to understand the Bible and to follow The Way described in its pages. God shows His love for us through His Son Jesus, and through us who know His love. Jesus is still the head of this church; we are His body. Our purpose, our doctrine, and our mission still remains the same today.
Our Motivation
God is not willing that any should perish; but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). God demonstrates His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). His death, burial, and resurrection together are the Gospel story; a story that must be told, and that we must tell (Romans 1:16). We are not ashame asd of the Gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes. God so loves us all that He gave us His only Son, Jesus, and we are not ashamed to lift Him up.

A mortal man ashamed of Thee?
Ashamed of Thee, whom angels praise,
Whose glories shine through endless days?
Ashamed of Jesus? Just as soon
Let midnight be ashamed of noon.

Ashamed of Jesus, that dear Friend

Our Future
Our future on this earth is yet unwritten, but heaven is in store for us. We hope that you come along and make the journey with us. The Holy Spirit and the bride of Christ, the church, extend the invitation (Revelation 22:17). Come!
